Mary Kate and Ashley are flying solo for their latest jewelry fashion offering. But have they officially parted ways with their original style guru?
The enormous success of the Olsen Twins’ fashion empire is proof that there’s nothing this dynamic duo can’t do when it comes to design. Maybe that’s why they’ve decided to drop designer Robert Lee Morris’s name from their new jewelry offering – confident to bring their own looks to the marketplace. To be clear, Morris is still on board to both create and produce through his parent corporation, Clover, but the twins are going to complement his bold sculptural designs with pieces that feature their own edgy aesthetic. The two new collections, “Bar” (precious metals) and “Crest” (precious stones) will include styles like sleek bangles and double-fingered rings in both sterling silver and gold – some with diamond and sapphire accents. Look for snakes and scarab silhouettes to make a slithering appearance as well. The collection will retail from $55 to $1,200 and sell at Bergdorf Goodman, Shopbop, neimanmarcus.com and saks.com with the Elizabeth and James Fall 2010 collection.
