Get a sneak peek at Madonna and daughter Lourdes’ ‘Material Girl’ jewelry and apparel line for Macy’s.
Madonna ‘dressed you up’ in the 80s and now her daughter, Lourdes, is taking the reins for their youth-oriented Macy’s collection aptly called, Material Girl.
According to WWD, the collection is slated to hit 200 Macy’s doors and macys.com on August 3rd with a surprise celebrity spokesmodel set to be the face of the brand (click here for a hint at who the teen star might be).
We found a few sneak peak pics of the Material Girl jewelry offerings, and the line is littered with layers, layers, and more layers – from multi-strand chain necklaces to (no surprise here) stacked and studded bangles.
Asked to sum up the Material Girl customer, Madonna described her this way: “A ‘Material Girl’ is a girl that is interested in fashion and interested in music and interested in fun. [She has] a sense of humor [and] is an adventurous human being.”
To build up the hype, they’ve launched a sweepstakes where you can win a chance to meet Madonna and Lourdes at a September 22nd event at Macy’s Herald Square in New York to mark the launch.
