Red gemstones, sparkling statement necklaces and chandelier earrings are some of the hot jewelry trends emerging from the Emmy red carpet. Who wore your favorite look?
Mad men and diamond divas lit up the 2010 Emmy Awards, with many stars opting for bold jewelry statements and others happy to leave the bling at home.
While navy and purple were the top color trends in the gown department, red gemstones were the hot hue in jewelry, with Eva Longoria Parker in ruby earrings by Loren Jewels, Tina Fey in ruby and black diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz and Kyra Sedgwick in rubellite gemstones by Ofira.
Statement necklaces continue to shine bright on stars like Lea Michele and Heidi Klum – both in Lorraine Schwartz stunners. And crazy cuffs stole the show like this champagne diamond Lorraine Schwartz style on Kim Kardashian and this “bird-on-wire” cuff on Emmy-winner, Julia Ormond.
Platinum is always a staple on the red carpet, but yellow gold emerged as a “mini-trend” metal on stars like Jayma Mays from Glee and Modern Family’s, Sofia Vergara. And it wouldn’t be an awards show without a smattering of basic black beauties – and there were oodles of gowns to satisfy that mandate in addition to black diamond jewelry like these platinum Martin Katz earrings on Kelly Osbourne.
